Sooo sorry for Webber. He had the worst day of his life and his team is dancing and celebrating. That must suck.

Red Bull were berated by many on the Brazil thread for not switching Vettel & Webber. It would have been a disaster in retrospect. I posted this on that thread.
If Vettel had let Webber past and then in Abu Dhabi Webber fails to finish Red Bull will be worse off. This way they still have their options open.

I expect Alonso to be WDC, I don't much care for him but I admire his race craft.

Jenson Button. 26 points behind the Boss come season final ...I think some forum members should think about their perception of driver qualities....
Sebastian Vettel I ´m surprised he did come back as strong as he did.
Mark Webber I´m disappointed ,utterly disappointed he was showing that pressure got on him, even though I think Alguesuari did idiotic things holding him up..the two are clearly paid by the same guy so why robbing poor Mark of his slim chances..
Fernando Alonso :lacklustre ..where was the alonso of recent races....did they really forget about Mercedes ,Mclaren and Renault in their calculations? silly...

Good foresight - or not, because it could have worked the other way and Webber was in contention and just lost it because they hadn't switched positions in the penultimate race... But you had a point there, Seb earned his title by winning back-to-back.

Webber got what he deserved, no objections please. Such a performance when it all matters can only only be expected from a driver who is best at ramming his championship rivals out of the track; ZERO racecraft.

agree totally, very sad for Mark, he'll come back firing next year...i just hope people remember the awesome season he has had, not only fighting other teams/drivers, his team mate and sadly his own team...they got what they wanted in the end.

Button showed today what he can do when the car is more to his liking, hes going to do an even better job next year.

Alonso, what can i say, very disappointing performance from him, sure ultimately the team are responsible for his pit stop but he never looked like he was going to pass Petrov, let alone Rosberg. I wonder if Webber was content in staying behind Alonso incase he was able to get up to 4th :P

The season is over, i feel sad that its all over with little to no action until january..WHAT WILL WE DO!!! Was a season to remember, lets hope next year is equal or better again :D

Ohh and congrats to Vettel, the driver with the most points is the deserved champion, he has had a very convincing end to the season.

Luck had nothing to do with it today. He fundamentally lack the pace and relying on luck to win you races/championships is wishful thinking at best (not that it has not happened before though). Alonso, LH and Vettel have all had how many reliability issues and how many has Mark had (just a gearbox change in Canada)? Sorry but Mark has had a near bullet proof car that captured 15 of the possible 19 poles this year. If he is unable to earn a WDC in that machinery than what will it take?

Actually I think Alonso's chances of passing Rosberg were higher. Remember that Hamilton also couldn't do anything with Kubica. Renault acceleration and straight line speed were amazing!
IMO Alonso cut his chances mostly when losing to Button at the start.

To be fair, he showed great racecraft in other races this year. Today was a dismal race for him when it mattered, and if had stayed out, his tires may have come back to him like Vettels did after a few laps of going off.

Webber got what he deserved indeed, it was a bellow par performance all weekend...your later comments are just ridiculous...i guess Singapore still hurts, get over it!

Hamilton rammed a driver off the circuit this year, Vettel rammed his team mate off the circuit this year, Alonso rammed his team mate out of the pitlane this year....do they all lack the "racecraft" you know so much about?

@ Mysticf1

Vettel did ram Webber alright, but would you care to remind me how and when Lewis and Fernando actually rammed other cars out of track ?

And no, I'm not sour about Singapore. Webber did it in Melbourne too. Once a coincidence may be, twice isn't. Clearly shows he is lacking the minerals. As was proved today, and Korea also. He is a B rate driver who had his moments and no mech. failures. Just like Massa in 2008 and Button in 2009.

Hamilton @ Monza on Massa, similar contact also.

Dont remember the race but Alonso actually overtook Massa in the pitlane entry forcing him off track.

If you look back on the history of most drivers they will have more than 2 such incidents, with risk sometimes u get bitten, i dont think it demonstrates a lack of racecraft, Singapore up until contact with Hamilton was stellar from Webber, Hungry also.

I'm going to point out here that it wasn't the Renaults, nor Rosberg, nor the McLarens that screwed it up for Alonso.

It was Mr. Michael Schumacher, seven-time Formula 1 World Champion.

It was a laughable mistake that induced another laughable mistake in the Ferrari pit that ultimately cost Alonso his title.

I love Schumi today even more than when he was in his winning ways~~ 8) =D> =D>

@ Mysticf1

You rate Hamilton's brush with Massa@ Monza as similar with Webber vs. Hamilton in Melbourne and Singapore ?!? What about Webber vs. Vettel in Istanbul then ? I accept Vettel was more to blame on that incident, but that doesn't change the fact that the guy is just horrible when it comes to wheel to wheel racing.
