Mediums were favoured in long runs anyway. Can’t see the point of being on anything else right now. Lose 27sec with a clean pit stop and hard to overtake. Track position key
question is, if those used Mediums will last till the end, though

Not blaming Russell for Hamilton going off here but it should be brought up how bad traffic has been today. Verstappen as well had to deal with it which helped Hamilton cut into the lead. This is one of those tracks were you'll find that I guess. But I did think a few times earlier in the race where Verstappen was trying to pass, I think it was Tsunoda and I can't remember the other car where. And it took half the lap for them to let Verstappen by. Singapore and Azerbaijan are another couple of tracks of seen this

I think Leclerc missed an opportunity there to take first with Verstappen leaving the track

Yeah big time.
You guys are weird ... your driver was almost beached for a minute, had een additional free stop, but still things are unfair.

Well the restart and lap gained is in the rules. The lack of rolling start is a decision made on the fly so will benefit some and not others.

Yeah, would have loved to see Hamilton getting tangled up in the midfield and DNF! #-o

Total joke to even have an opportunity of a podium after going off and losing well over a minute

You reckon? Bottas didn't get anywhere. Is Hamilton really any more capable from P9!? :wtf:
Russel was attempting an overtake on bottas, that's down to DRS. If Russel can do that against mercedes than hamilton can do it against anyone obviously.
Yet Bottas showed little improvement in position at all...

Russell attacking a Mercedes, shows the Mercedes to be slow... Unless Hamilton is, bizarrely, dramatically faster than Bottas in traffic!?
He already flew past 2 cars. He gained close to 1s on the straight on both occasions. Just the way DRS is on this track. If you're like 0.3-0.5s faster you'll fly past cars.

Getting his car back in the race was skill, rest is just pure luck. It's part of racing, though some will attribute it to 'hard work'.

Yep have no problems with his skill. It’s undeniable he’s an excellent driver. But this unlapping business just isn’t right. Don’t care who I support.

The track is half wet / half dry. It was the fairest call.
