??? This is short sighted. He took over a McLaren on the ground and started to build the structure they are winning on now. He brought the team from nothing to 5 podiums in 2021.
I think any team here would profit from him in operations, so why not Ferrari.
McLaren switched to Mercedes engines for 2021, were allowed some concessions as a result on top of tokens and brought the most developed car between 2020 and 2021. Remember the cars were carried over for 2021.
WCC position was pretty much unchanged during his tenure, floating between 3 and 5.
After the regulations change, McLaren were nowhere again, fighting for scraps.
Zak Brown happily let him go without gardening leave. From reading snippets here and there, his management style isn't really desirable.
He isn't going to add any value to Ferrari based on his actual F1 record. The contrasting fortune of McLaren and Sauber says a lot.
