Scuderia Ferrari SF15-T

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Quick comparison as much for my own interest as anything. You can see it's tighter around the exhaust but hard to tell much more. Logical development though, seeing as their cooling was already proven good in the hottest conditions.

Edit: contours look different around ups logo, no?

On a lighter note ... It's on the car, so it's fair game ;)

Amazing how that front pull rod is killing both their pace and their tires.

Hahaha I had thought of this. Funny how all those critics are now silent.

On a slightly related note and something I believe may have had some impact on their better tyre management is the lowering of front wishbone mounting points on the chassis. They are now running much flatter wishbones and I have to wonder if this has reduced the side loads on the tyre due to suspension flex enough to give so much of an improvement. Probably just one small factor.

Ferrari FW looks more simple, producing less downforce. Let`s hope Ferrari will come with some updates for their FW.

But the main idea with front pull rod is aero benefit. Funny that it is the reason why they can't go for a short nose because of it which is a better solution according to allison reading between the lines.

How do you know that it produces less downforce? Can you please share results of your measurements to back that claim up?
