GÜNTHER STEINER TECHNICAL DIRECTOR OF THE RED BULL NASCAR-TEAM
The first prominent figure joining the Red Bull team set to the NASCAR series in 2007 is Günther Steiner. Having worked as technical director for Red Bull Racing in the Formula One, he is now moving from Great Britain to the US – from Milton Keynes to Mooresville, North Carolina. The forty-year-old South Tyrolean will also assume the function of technical director for the Red Bull Toyota NASCAR team, acting on a level with General Manager Marty Gaunt.
Marty Gaunt is happy about this high-calibre reinforcement. “In his many years of Rally activities with Ford, as head of sports at Opel and more recently at Red Bull Racing in the Formula One, Günther has not just had a lot of success but also gathered enormous know-how. He was one of the men who was decisive for the perfect launch of Red Bull Racing – and we are convinced that with his experience he will help our young team make a fast start.” Günther Steiner sees NASCAR as a “new, fascinating challenge. If as a European you are asked to help set up such an ambitious project you simply cannot say no. I’m really looking forward to working on my new task.” Günther Steiner will begin his job with the Red Bull Toyota NASCAR-Team on April 1 of this year.

On June 13, 1954, racing at the Linden Airport in New Jersey, a 43-car field produced three NASCAR milestones. One, it was NASCAR’s first road race. Two, Keller’s win in the No. 4 Jaguar XK120 fixed-head coupe remains the only import win in NASCAR’s major series—then called Grand National. Three, because Keller had won on an oval in March at Oglethorpe Speedway in Savannah, Georgia, he became the first NASCAR pilot to win on both a road course and an oval in a single season.
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

They do not race on public roads, but they have some courses that have some turns like ... Mexico City, Watkins Glen too bad there is only two. I think in the Mexico City race track, they go through the chincane really hard in there cars.

The series beneath Nextel Cup called the "Busch Series" is the only series to run on the Mexico City circut. But Nextel Cup has two road races one in Watkins Glen, NY. The other is at Infinion Raceway (Sears Point) in Sanoma CA.

Why not? In their first year in F1, they had a huge success!
