Ferrari has its wing backed out..means they are steeper and higher at the middle and then gradually slope towards edge of wing...contrary to the fact that mercedes has it's wing higher at tips and lower in the middle section. The theory explained for this is that mercedes wings help in wash out and send turbulent air beyond the tires. But for ferrari,it is said that thier wings prevent stalling of air at the wing making car more consistent and predictable. Ferraris also loose some amount of downforce at the front ,due to the front wing design...which they try to compensate through some configuration of barge boards and turning vanes.
The main question is that how Ferrari's front wing design affect thier aero performance including stall prevention
