EFFECTIVE Angle of attack for cambered airfoil?

Post

Does anyone have an idea of how to calculate the effective angle of attack ( α_L0)i.e. alpha L0 for a Cambered airfoil?

This effective angle of attack is used to calculate the lift coefficient for a wing.

any help would be useful

I think it is still measured at the longest chord.

What do you mean by your question?

It can only be calculated through experimentation in a windtunnel.

Using pitot tubes or something in the aerofoil to measure pressure differences, then just gather the values for different AoA at different airspeeds also, then I guess do graphs for lift coeff against point on the chord :) well soemthing like that lol.

Hum... I'm sorry to ask that but... what significates AoA ? I read it a lot of times...

I believe what you are looking for is explained here and the chapters around it:

Alternatively, any decent book on aerodynamics should cover this topic.
