front wing adjustment

Post

I noticed Webber adjusting his front wing using a thumbwheel encoder on his seering wheel. I always thought the driver could only make it go up or down.
Does anyone know if the driver can set the front wing to otehr angles during the race?

No. The front wing can be adjusted by driver only two times during a lap for 6 degrees max. There is no other way a driver can adjust the front wing from his cockpit - he has to pit for it.

The only adjustment a driver can made from the cockpit is the allowed 6-degree move of front wing flap; nothing else with the front wing. The pit crew can make changes to the angle of attack during a pit stop - you must have seen this.

thanks Raceman, I wasnt sure, cos Webber seemed to be making a lot of changes to his wing. Its not often you notice them using the thumbwheel so I guess it looked more noticeable than normal.
