Ferrari 2005 reg spec

Post

Ferrari supposedly tested a 2005 spec hybrid car with aerodynamic modifications to the body that comply with the 2005 regulations, I was looking around for pictures of this car, but i cant tell what spec im looking at. Can anyone else find any pictures of it?

PS: I am not a fan of the proposed regulations, and I'm afraid that the cars will get uglier and uglier(even if the regulations dont actually slow them down)

i´ve heard that they will increase the front wing (again) , having 2 set of tyres per race , engine must resist 2 gp, difusser will decrease and apso some changes in rear wing,

one curious thing gp2 could be faster than a minardi in 2005.
remenber pain is temporary

I agree. I think this year has seen some very beautifully sculpted cars. Ferrari, Renault, Mclaren, BAR, Sauber. I even thought the FW-26 was beautiful, but now it looks too ordinary with the normal nose.
It seems as though this year has seen the most aerodynamic advance in years. They used to look pretty similar year after year, but this year the sidepods have got very sculpted, the aerodynamic devices on them more advanced and all in all the cars look like the aerodynamics have really taken long hours in the windtunnel to make. This goes for most of the top grid, not just the usual big players like Ferrari or Mclaren.

According to Ross Brawn they made a test in Jerez raising the front wing by 30 mm (new rules would actually require 50 mm) and it was a bit of a shock for MS, he was suddenly a couple of seconds slower with same tyres and engine (although, AFAIK they were already testing with a unit designed to last 2 weekends).
In an interview after the Monza’s race Byrne said that the first time they tested in the windtunnel a model complying with the new rules (entire set so, raised front wing, smaller diffuser, rear wing elements moved forward) the loss of efficiency was 25%, that was probably mid August. I’m confident that by now they have already regained about 5-6 % and by April/May the loss will be in the order of 10% if not less.

The only cars I'd buy in 1:18 this year are BAR Honda and Ferrari... success just makes them sweeeter

If we talk about the 1:18 cars, I will buy this year a sauber modell.
I saw the new aero at the parc ferme after the race at hockenheim.
I must say I was deply impressed. The rear of the car is so narrow.
You must pay more attention on the aero of this car.
