Technically you aren’t wrong but I’m old enough to remember people whining about Ferrari having unlimited testing and how that was unfair, don’t even need to be that old. Removing from Ferrari all of their strengths, with their agreement in the end but what could they really do, and now patting each other on the back for being good.

Difference is: the UK teams control a massive chunk of political power in the sport, and have since the beginning.

We all know Ferrari made and makes several mistakes every year, but this holier than thou attitude is so irritating… everyone in this sport is at minimum dirty and whines like pigs whenever something doesn’t go their way, give it a rest.
The two teams you are accusing of patting themselves on the back, were Honda and Jaguar at the time  . They had nothing to do with it.
Lmao. This answer tells me everything
What do you mean by this?

I mean that it’s deflection, and not even that relevant, as if people didn’t move across teams then and now, or if there was no continuity between different generations of leaders and engineers.

Now blaming testing ban from almost 2 decades ago on employees at Merc and RB in 2023. I've heard it all now.

Ferrari have had 2 decades to adapt and the rules are the same for everyone. There's no case here.

Testing ban isn't what is hurting Ferrari now. The others would just pound around Silverstone if testing was permitted. We must stop searching for external excuses.

Speaking of testing, Italian outlets are reporting that in-season track testing would help other teams close the gap to RB :D

There’s a say in Italy: there’s no worse deaf than those that don’t want to ear.

Teams that are new or had previously been underinvested in are at an extreme disadvantage under the current cap rules.
That (underinvesting) even seemed to have been the case at MB.
There were multiple quotes made about that (which by itself doesn't make it true though ofcourse)

“ In July, the FIA informed us that the results of the cost cap will arrive by the beginning of September. I have full faith in the FIA and I expect them to come with the cost cap results according to plan ” concluded an always diplomatic TP Ferrari.

The latest update is "Beginning of september".

ehh, the formula-uno link dropped somehow, maybe I will find it later

Good for the sport. Undoubtedly a letdown for some sandwich-theorists on the forum.

But it is good news really.
