Lucky for Max, unlucky for Charles who was on his way to victory.
Charles was not on his way to victory, and Verstappen has been screwed because Leclerc can put mediums on, and Verstappen has no mediums left.

He can change his front wing fixed, new tyres, and closer to Max. It’s a win
Leclerc has no more new tires, same as most others.

yeah, but they'll hardly be an option for 36 laps

He just did 34 laps on high fuel on that tire. That used set only did 1 push lap in Q1. Worth the gamble.

Imagine if Charles hadn't pitted. Would have been able to put on his brand new tyres and fix his front wing for not cost at all.

what? The red flag allows Charles to fix his wing and another chance to take lead into T1
I posted before the red flag. The SC alone obviously would have been a big loss.

Seems like they're not changing the front wing btw.

Yuki is in a very good position now, with another set of hards. He also didn't pit under the SC, probably speculating on this red flag

Charles was a bit more than 16 seconds behind Max and started chewing off a few tenths immediately after putting on fresh Hards. What makes you sure he would have not won it considering Max most probably was going to stop again?

Well it's my theory that the loss of FW endplate in this generation doesn't cost you any performance . The endplates are there mostly to reduce outwash

At that stage half the race was still to go, too many variables to say anything for certain.

Perez did a carbon copy of Hamilton’s crash from Qatar!

Why such a huge pace difference between the two Ferraris even though Leclerc has damage??

Any chance this car might be working better with the damage?? Isn’t that illegal really??
