Hispania F110

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It was stated somewhere... I believe another forum like finalgear.com or else it was a Dutch website... Can't remember!

But hey, never saw brakes shine like that in the sun!

so apparently they aren't even using steel wishbones as "reported" earlier.

Possibly steel with a carbon wrap for aero. I think that's what Minardi used to do.

Good pics. Im getting a real soft spot for them, massive case of underdogs!

The 1995 season often had bottom of qualy like this.

19 10 Japan Taki Inoue Footwork-Hart 1:35.323 +7.199
20 21 Brazil Pedro Diniz Forti-Ford 1:36.023 +7.899
21 16 France Bertrand Gachot Pacific-Ford 1:36.076 +7.952
22 22 Brazil Roberto Moreno Forti-Ford 1:36.651 +8.527

I dont remember to much danger caused buy cars this slow back then (maybe the drivers  ) . With this being a 1.50ish lap I think they are safe to race. Sure they will get in the way a bit but it will be valuable running.

Maybe they meant the rear wishbones? Hard to see what they're made of. Or maybe it was other suspension parts they were talking about.

Either way, the car looks quite nice actually. I wouldn't be surprised if they surpass the other newcomers and maybe even a seasoned team during the 2010 season.

Car looks pretty draggy and the rear wing has no center support.
Dont like that.

Wow thanks for sharing your great factual opinion...

Williams doesnt have a centre support neither does Redbull, do you not like them either?

Didn't they run manual gearboxes on those Forti's? They got a flappy paddle gearbox somewhere after Spa or something...

IIRC Zanardi used steel brakes as well when he drove for williams. He got destroyed by his teammate (Ralf, if i remember correctly) but it wasn't by seconds - more by half a second. Back then it was stated that there wasn't a world of a difference between these two systems - only a couple of tenths.

I thought Zinardi still used carbon brakes, but had a loy of difficulty adapting to them as CART used steel. I think that was the cause of the time difference. I dont recall Williams actually switching him to steel.

One car doesnt run, and the other is 9secs off the pace and 40km/h down in S2! Ouch!!
