Nasr is in talks with Sauber. Perez & Hulkenberg at FI looks likely, Sutil + AN Other at Sauber. Maldonado is a done deal at Lotus.

Chilton stays at Marussia.

Whitmarsh tells BBC they've helped Perez get the Force India seat & Kovalainen tells Sky he'll be at Caterham next season.

This has been nullified some time ago.

FIndia will have a great drivers line-up next year if they really get Hulk + Perez. Talent and money. hehe. I like FI. Hope they confirm these two.

Lets see about Sauber. Nasr said in an interview today that he is confident and probably will get a set in a "medium team" next year. Its FI or Sauber. Since FI looks to be ok with Hulk and Perez, it only could be at Sauber. But alongside who? I would like if was Sutil. I like Sutil and Gutierrez, I thik, made a very poor season.

The press here in BR says its done deal Maldonado at Lotus and Hulk at FI.

the failed quantum deal is a threat to Sauber suddenly as Maldonado is switching the millions there ..and perez looks like going to FI where are the cash cows to keep Sauber afloat?
Is Guttierez worth enough? would perez have brought additional funding ? Sutil does not have backers the size Sauber does need..I´m worried.

That seems to be the consensus. On the other hand, Grosjean said over the weekend that he still wasn't sure he had a place next year. I wonder if Lotus might consider using Maldonado's money to pay Hulkenberg?

Nasr has plenty of backing, as if they got really desperate does Chilton.

Apart from Japanese F3, Marcus Ericsson has been average at best all through his career. I don't think he is F1 quality at all.

Really wanted Hulk to go to Lotus.

Sauber is a big question mark, do they keep Esteban or move for someone that has more funding? Such a shame that money has such an affect on whether someone gets a drive.

I too, but also seems Lotus financial situation is much worse then we tought when he choose FI. Force India had financial problems, Sauber have them also. So choosing between three teams who have same issues, you would sign for team who have best chance to be on top. Which is for me Lotus. I know Hulkenberg dont want to drive for free, but he could choose better team for fight close on top. Force India will always be solid midfield with Sauber. oHulk choosed fight in darkness one more year. I respect his decision but this decision wont bring him car for title. I know he wanted go in big team, but let's be realistic, he wont get there. Merc, Red Bull and Ferrari they all have great drivers, as Mclaren choosed new route. He wont get there 2014, 2015, or 2016. Maybe with Honda which i doubt. Except some midfield team like 2009, dont become top car like Red Bull did.

Lotus was contender and only one who could be close to this three teams. So i can say Hulk choosed salary over contender car and dont get me wrong. I respect his decision, you need to feed your familiy. I am also angry at Lotus because Maldonado is shitty driver. And that driver don't deserve drive for Enstone.

So after Dan scored 60% of STR's points this year and comprehensively out qualified JEV, does anyone still think JEV deserves the RBR seat more than Dan?

I have to admit at this point that it doesn't look that way. But whether or not Dan deserves the seat more than say a Hulkenberg or a Grosjean is a different issue (not that they're in the running for that seat)
