Nose cone tether

Post

Are the nose cones tethered to the chassis? If so how is the tether attached?

I noticed that during an Indy car pit stop to change the nose cone that connecting the tether toke sometime. The F1 nose changes are much faster and do not seem to require a separate tether attachment step.

F1 noses are not tethered. Indycar noses and rear impact structures have been since Justin Wilson died.
