Yawn.
Race sums up the season.

Hopefully 2024 is different, but can’t see it.
It was a pretty entertaining season. Sure the championship(s) were one-sided but at least we had thrilling qualifying and some good racing across the grid due to the tight gaps.

Thank God season is over, I hope MV's fans had a blast, he was simply magnificent this year. Decent fighting between AM - McLaren - Ferrari - Mercedes, at least that kept us somewhat interested.

Glad to be alive to witness the class act by MV and RBR, almost like a Usain Bolt moment. This will go down in history for many years and even decades to come.

Considering there is still such a massive gap between MV and the rest even in the last race and RBR stopping all new development for RB19 must earlier, I am not sure if 2024 will be much different from this year. It's just incomprehensible. Is it the car? Max? or both?

You can’t do anything without the car, but what Max does with a car has always been amazing to me. This season indeed was a blast to me. Congrats to people who support Max and on to next year when everybody starts from zero again.

Super Max. Max set a record this season that might not be broken for 100 years. 95.45% podiums, 86.36% wins in a season. It is difficult, almost impossible, to run a more perfect season than this. Next year, I hope there will be a good even battle between Red Bull, Ferrari and Mclaren, and then the better one will win.

Glad it's over... we can all talk about how the midfield is so competitive and how fun that is, but at the end of the day what counts is P1. Having a nailed on P1 for an entire season takes the edge out of the races. Even Perez finished P2 without performing at a high level, so boring.

Agree. I wouldn’t say the racing between those four teams behind has been good. Aston were finished after Montreal. Stats wise, it might be close, but I can barely remember any wheel to wheel racing that was memorable. Was there ever a decent fight between Leclerc & Hamilton on track? Just seemed that either one team turned up and the other didn’t.

Congrats Max, but apart from him winning, the season’s just a blur of disappointment.

Looking at him doing donuts, one can really see how truly special he is. I've never seen better and smoother spin initiation and such incredible control and precision. I thought it was already perfect last year, but this year he did it even better.

That penalty was a joke but Perez could've just waited for the next straight given his tyre advantage over Lando and George just take no risks. Provided us with the only action all race at least.
he didn't take any risks. fully in control clear overtake.
watch again Sainz overtake on Hamlton on lap 1 last year. it was much worse than Perez move, Sainz left no space and Hamilton was told to give up the position. Only difference is Norris actually turned in into rival car being side by side, Hamilton avoided.

Lando left him plenty of space, but Checo was in too hot and understeered. Typical Perez scruffy overtake, i would call it a no further action and move on.

typical perez overtake, brake late and doesnt calculate what comes next, pushes the other driver by hitting them and calls the penalty a "joke". He always does this but this time he couldnt get away with it. another example is last years' silverstone gp I think he pushed hamilton off at turn 3 and got away with it.

Hamilton overtook Perez off the circuit on lap 1 T1 with no conceivable reason to leave the circuit. No investigation. Interesting.

I would upload a video by the FOM have destroyed any ability to screen cap F1TV.

He gave the position back within 3 laps so moot point, but you knew that.

More relevantly, how did Alonso not get a penalty for the very blatant brake test?

He didn't "give the position back". He was overtaken. I'm just surprised that's all. Had it been a different driver we wouldn't hear the end of it.

Rubbish, he clearly ceded the position but your bias won’t let you see that.
