2024 reliability updates

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

2024 reliability updates

Post

As engine suppliers have to get approval from both the FIA and other suppliers for their reliability upgrades, does this information get published anywhere by the FIA?
It would be interesting to see what they have all been up to during the engine freeze!
Do they get similar opportunities in the motive/storage items of the electrical parts of the power unit? (I’m pretty sure that they don’t; I’m also pretty certain that fuel’s & lubricants were frozen).

As an aside, we know that the majority of reliability upgrades fit hand-in-glove with performance improvements; does the FIA have the tools at their disposal to monitor the increased performance/reliability ratio?
Perspective - Understanding that sometimes the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.

Reliability improvements requests once the unreliability is proved to the regulator cannot be denied. On the other hand, all reliability improvements will result in better performance.
