The Pederzani brothers created Tecnokart, initially building karts until their first Formula 4 car in 1964. They progressed through the lower formulae, until finance by Martini drinks enabled them to enter the top ranks.
Although carrying the same name, the latest two models were different chassis designs, a third, the E731 never raced.
