Canadian oil businessman, Walter Wolf financed the Williams F1 operation in 1976. Disappointed, he bought out Williams and set up his own Walter Wolf Racing.
The new car was an instant success, winning first time out. After a great first season, the team faded quickly and by the end of 1979 had withdrawn from the championship.
