LEC Refrigeration Racing

David Purley commissioned Mike Pilbeam to design a new GP car which was built at his father's Lec refrigeration firm.

The project came to an abrupt end when Purley was lucky to survive a massive practice accident at Silverstone. When fully recovered a further car was used in domestic racing.
