This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
So not to doom and gloom but in your opinion is it over for Mclaren regarding this year championship chances or mayhap the team can find something with the set up that might give them back the upper hand? Two races and one sprint with 24 points difference. Perhaps the circuit of Abu Dhabi can suit Mclaren even more as a last resort? Or perhaps it was just practice and we don't know engine modes etc. etc.
In the meantime they are talking about the FIA. What's going on with the FIA? They changed like a lot of the personnel admitting that there are a lot of loopholes in the driving rules that are exploited and need fixing. I really don't understand Skysports though trying to justify any kind of pushing off the track. They like to create drama and making us fight each other.
It's time for Sprint Qualifying. Let's see if we can do something better.
In Q1 the car looked much better than practise but we need Piastri also with us. Now onwards to repeat that performance in Q2 and Q3.
That is good. It proves that the form in practice was not real and the car with a better set up, a tweak here and there and a different engine mode or fuel level can be better.
Onwards to do it one more time in Q3.

Good job for the 1-3 with Ferrari on 4-5. Onwards to get as many points compared to Ferrari as possible in the sprint and repeat the performance tomorrow.
Again practice is always misleading as the Ferraris might have been lighter or maybe pushed the engines more. A good chance to end the championship by clinching the title from here.
Really well executed - hope they can deliver a clean sprint now and see how we shake out. Ferrari might be dangerous in the sprint hotter track temps but I fancy us on Sunday for the race in the evening conditions.
No worries mate. Let's just enjoy whatever the result. I am confident that the championship is ours this year but even if we don't make it it's still a successful year.
Any idea why Lando can’t go flat out through T12 is it?
Looks like McLaren are running the most wing or are they not? They have the slowest in top speed don't they?
So quick question. Remember 2021, 2022 and 2023 and how many times Lando Norris managed to gain place or places on race starts even beating Max Verstappen many times. What happened this year and not able to keep his first place in starts? Mclaren used to be a beast of a car in starts especially in 2021. Is it him or is it possibly a car set up? I notice his reaction is good and sometimes better than the opposition but he seems to be losing the charge a few gears later. What do you think?
