Peter Windsor was taking shots at Williams again. He seems to have a problem with the team. 17 minutes into his livestream.

He’s part of the good ol’ boy Williams network that has largely retired or pushed out, and just doesn’t have the clout in the team like they use to. Take his comments with a grain of salt.

Peter also has obvious driver favorites (like Lewis), and always is bias when commenting about them or their team. He’s really nothing of what he used to be in what he offers in his commentary. I don’t even bother to listen to him anymore.

I'm glad to read that this is not a thing of mine. One of the most credited F1 analysts is getting more and more annoying to me. I was starting to get worried.

I still like Peter. But this is true. He questioned it when Ferrari hired Freddy Vassure initially. Saying "what did he do at Sauber?". Then when Lewis came to the team he jumped on the Vassure hype train. He fashions himself as a contrarian but I don't really see very many contrarian takes from him

What has Vowells changed in the team structure to have such a good car?
New recruits from redbull and Mclaren?

=D> Very encouraging. Man what I would give for Williams to throw a monkey wrench into all the top team’s plans this year. [-o<

Long run pace looks top of the midfield. Having trouble making the softs work though.

The 2024 car was actually fairly quick during the second half of last year. This year is just a refinement of the concept.

That's 6 sessions down for the FW47 and its looked a legitimate car in all of them. I'm impressed.

Great result for Williams this weekend.

Holding off the two Ferraris for a top 5 finish should be applauded. Albon ran a great race.

Feel bad for Sainz but he'll get back on the horse. Not the first time he DNF'd for a new team at Albert Park. He'll be out to prove himself in China.

Overall, I see no reason why Williams can't shoot for top of the midfield. They have the car and driver lineup to make it happen.

I have read/heard in a few places that until Vowles arrived, Williams' were just not putting the car together with the same attention to detail as the top teams. Things like tolerances when manufacturing parts etc.

In a sport where hundredths of a second count, I guess fixing something as fundamental as that could yield immediate benefits.
