If the conditions are mixed though, anything can happen...
Mixed conditions seems to be Buttons sweet spot. Not too wet or too dry and he shines through.

So tomorrow is going to be either really good or really bad. Let's see...

McL have gambled on a wet setup, according to Ted's notebook.

As we now Ted is an idiot

Allen McNish said in yesterday's broadcast that the Wet setup changes all teams might make are small due to the nature off the track and the unpredictability of the weather.

Don't think McL would have made that many changes - they would be on maximum downforce in any case

But the car can be much softer setup which can hurt them in the dry, particularly the high speed corners.

Also Hugo BOSS has now decided to part ways with Mclaren (a 30 year long partnership). And they will move to Mercedes.

Good effort by the team today. Should have been a podium for JB, just one more lap was needed.

According to AMUS, unfortunatelly Ferrari has stolen the head of powertrain at Mclaren Automotive, Axel Wendorff. Before Mclaren he was the head of the engine department of Mercedes from Brixworth (until the end of 2009). Former Ferrari man Gilles Simon, that now works for as a consultant for Honda is targeted by Ferrari.
Sad news :(

Very interesting article: http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/07/0 ... E020140706

- Hugo Boss leaving for Mercedes
- Mclaren had the biggest budget in their history in 2014
- next year Mclaren will have an even bigger budget.

How much money can Honda invest without having shares in Mclaren?
Can Honda fill the financial gap left by no title sponsor and other actual sponsors leaving? All this just to be succesfull, I repeat without shares in Mclaren Group, Mclaren Automotive or Mclaren Racing? :?:

Yes they can. But the new sponsors will come, don't worry. The future is very bright.
Works engine partner Honda is coming on board with a whopping EUR 100 million per year in financial backing.

Kevin Magnussen has through his career been sponsored by Jack&jones, which is made by Bestseller, the owner of
bestseller also owns ~27% of Asos which is is on the rear wing of the Mclaren

So I'm guessing the Hugo Boss is being replaced with Asos

I for one won't mind if this means that the cost of the full-on teamwear (ie: what is currently made by Hugo Boss rather than the cheaper versions) comes down a bit...!!
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hugo Boss is a German Brand and i strongly believe they moved to Mercedes because McLaren runs Honda Engines next Year and not the german Merc.

But i'm also absolutely sure Unilever will more than compensate that Hole.
