I can't say I'm surprised but I hoped Ferrari could open their eyes and break out of the mold, they need two aggressive quality drivers and for 2013 they will once again have 1.5 drivers. 1/4 of a season with decent results doesn't justify resigning Massa, imo.
I don't disagree. Massa was ill-suited for the 2012 campaign. Yes he picked it up the last two races, but it just feels too little, too late now.The question is, who would they field had they opted to dump Massa?
I was secretly hoping for Fisichella to replace Massa.
Massa needs to be kicked out of Ferrari, asap. He just isn't performing how he should be, and to be honest his last 2 results weren't spectacular in my opinion, they were plain 'descent'. Good enough for a new contract? With a team like Ferrari? Not in a MILLION years.
It's just one of so many thing that makes Ferrari one hell of a stupid team these days. If they had any brains, they would have opted to take in a GOOD driver a la Hulkenberg, di Resta, Alguersuari, Perez, Bianchi. But the only thing they think about is what Alonso wants. And as long as they stand by that filosophy, they'll never win a WCC and will only win a WDC when they deliver a perfect car, all season long.
