No! They both was in theirs 2nd lap in the first stint when the diff was 0.7sEmag wrote: ↑14 Sep 2024, 14:24They weren't 0.7s off Leclerc. Leclerc set the laptime later. With tires that had done 2 fast laps already, Oscar was P3 and 0.2s off. Lando messed up the final corner and is out. Pretty simple.
At least nobody can say McLaren lost the WDC for Lando. He does not deserve it this year.
I don't know why you're fixated on the yellow flag. Look at him on the media pen, he is on the verge of crying. He knows he messed up. Check the lap again, he was going full speed out of 16 but he messed up and ran wide. The lap was gone by that point, Kimi lost the pole a couple of years back doing the same.
I believe the yellow flags were there because of his mistake in the last corner. He made it because he was pushing, and if the flags were before this point, he would be slower and wouldn't make itBen1980 wrote: ↑14 Sep 2024, 14:26Not sure, he lifted due to yellow flag.Emag wrote: ↑14 Sep 2024, 14:24They weren't 0.7s off Leclerc. Yes. Maybe next time before you post find out what happened.
It is not the first time that Ocon has caused a yellow in the last sector this week, that has affected Lando (first time was in FP3).Xero wrote: ↑14 Sep 2024, 14:26Ocon caused a yellow and Lando had to lift.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑14 Sep 2024, 14:25There wasnt any accident on sector 3. He was going then had a yellow flag and had to lift. He's annoyed but this was just very unfortunate timing.Emag wrote: ↑14 Sep 2024, 14:28I don't know why you're fixated on the yellow flag. But, that's ignoring that the reason he went was in trying to lift as he had a yellow flag and Ocon. Just very unlucky.Emag wrote: ↑14 Sep 2024, 14:30I don't care for the yellow flag, I care for the mistake. He has done this way too often this year. If there wasn't a yellow, he would have still been out in Q1 running wide on the kerb like that. You don't just drop laptime there and then, but you carry losses all the way through the straight. It's a huge mistake to make.
That was after he lifted, the lap was already gone.Emag wrote: ↑14 Sep 2024, 14:30I don't care for the yellow flag, I care for the mistake. He has done this way too often this year.
