He's never seemed like the world's most charismatic character ... maybe he's just that deadpan with everyone?

Ha, ha, ha... maybe James Allen's prediction that Heidfeld would be 1.2 s behind Kubica is not so far from the thruth!

This is genius. Everybody saying that it is a bad move and such and now it is time to laugh at Heidfeld? Hypocrites

Senna is racing for two reasons, and he is quick in Quali for the same reasons;

1] He is racing for a seat for the rest of the year so to keep Grosjean out of the seat from Singapore onward.
2] He is racing for the team, if he destroys Petrov in the R31, this shows that he is quicker than Petrov and is indeed the right call for Heidfeld to be ditched.

So far Senna is making Heidfeld look stupid and making Heidfeld look not so quick.

Congrats to Senna for his performance today in Quali. Showing that he could have a future in F1 after all.

Ehh, maybe you should'nt take everything so serious? But's it pretty funny that Senna is paying to perform better than Heidfeld. Your attitude tells me more of what kind of people you think that you are interacting with on this forum.

Why on earth did Senna not perform in winter testing? Back then he seemed not really close to either petrov nor Heidfeld..and for what reason you ´d hire Heidfeld when senna is as fast or even quicker?
What has changed since winter testing? onefree practise and a straightline test cannot turn Senna confidence around ...I have to say I do not understand.Maybe I´m getting old.

Where are all the pay driver moaners?

You guys sure know when to jump ship.

I had faith in Senna being of an ok standard. It's unfair for any young driver to be in HRT of 2010.
Looking back that year, there was no indication that Senna was rubish.
I don't when that rumour started.

His performance was of no surprise to me. Starting in a crap car will harden and sharpen any driver. Bruno's suffering in HRT has payed dividens.

Kovalinen is probably forged into a top driver right now driving that Lotus. He's definitely punching above the car's weight in that Lotus.
For Sure!!

One explanation is that Spa is to Senna like Monaco is to Maldonado, Brazil to Massa and Canada to Hamilton.
Could be a super performance here and mediocre elsewhere. Time will tell.

While what you say is absolutely valid Ringo, we still should give him kudos for out qualifying Petrov (an ice racer no less) in the slippery conditions by a second.

One qualifying session does not make a race, nonetheless, you would have to admit that his performance today may possibly have made him one of the stars of Q3.

I had my driver testing at Spa in 2007 with Senna driving on the same day (Ferrari Challenge). We went quicker ,alot quicker than him on that day.I was curious back then, always taking sennas time as a reference cos he had demolished my guys the other week in Silverstone running a second quicker or so...My idea was he´s not that special after that ,but maybe he just did not push ...but now suddenly he delivers .Mind you Senna had a Honda contract for 2009 and Brawn opted to take Barrichello instead.Would one think you can gain talent with time?
