Ferrari seems to be wanting to push hard for the last year of the V8 Formula - http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/105834

Stefano Domenicali's point of view: http://formula-one.speedtv.com/article/ ... prospects/

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Alonso seems sane while Massa seems keen.

At the question "what duty do you most dislike" you could see Alonso thinking "this".

=D> ha,ha!
Do you feel you can beat the Red Bulls, either to pole position or the race itself?
Fernando Alonso: "I prefer to beat them on Sunday."

Edit: Minus 1 for a PR event organised by Scuderia Ferrari for Alonso, Massa and Pedro to have a bit of fun during the winter testing intermission?...what a sad world we live in :(

Ferrari admits windtunnel switch will affect 2014 car development and may be 2013 car as well
Autosport wrote:Ferrari chief designer Nikolas Tombazis has admitted that the changeover from using Toyota's Cologne windtunnel to its refitted one at Maranello will compromise work on its 2014 challenger.

Tombazis added that the upgrade to the windtunnel is essential given that Ferrari has fallen behind its leading rivals in that area in recent years.

"We have made no secret of the fact that we are doing a fairly important upgrade," said Tombazis.
"That's obviously putting a lot of stuff on our plate but we feel that it is something that we cannot delay.
"Therefore, we have this added pressure that we have to keep on top of that and we have to use an external windtunnel while we carry out this major upgrade."It's important because our windtunnel technology has been below the high standard of some of our competitors and this work is going to bring us to that level."
Interesting story as from this we can get a distance hint of problem if they face any this year. They will have to carry full design of 2013 upgrade in the Toyota's WT along with the 2014 car ........................... so much to ask for i think :?

Full Story is on>>>>> http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/106171

OMFG !! no, not again! Ferrari fans are soooo fed up with their excuses now! it's enough ! the F138 seems to be performing well, so if the shitty Maranello WT is the main cause of all the problems they've had for a few years now, stop using it and build a new one or just keep on working in Cologne !!

If Felippe is potentially quicker than Fernando over one lap in the F138, why not set up his car for quail? I understand this is not perhaps sportsmanlike since it would likely compromise Massa's race pace, but there is a lot to be said for clean air if he can get a good grid position. Also, I guarantee you it would please Maranello (and Fernando for that matter) if Fernando were fighting Massa at season's end for the championship rather than an RB or Lotus.

So why not put our Paulista as far up front on Saturday as possible? Maybe it's happening to some extent already...?

Pedro De la Rosa is now Alonso's consigliere, it seems. Always discussing setups etc in the garage with him, and I can't help but see a little dig at Massa in this piece: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/106247

Pedro has a weird place in modern F1 - he's driven most of the teams' cars at some point in the last decade, even 'Red Bull' if you go far enough back. Good recruit for Maranello.

“Despite the fact the car was damaged, it didn’t seem to be too bad and, together with the team, we decided to keep going, because if we’d stopped immediately and then again on lap three or four to fit dry tyres, we would have dropped too far back and definitely lost the chance to finish up the front.”

The moment they saw sparks they should know FW won't be able to take pressure of both straigths. Very sloppy. #-o

I was saying, they need to pit or it will collapse under the car like we have seen many time. For a corner and a straight I thought someone did a quick assumption that one pylon can take the downforce, apparently not.

he coped quite well during first lap and managed to fight Webber for second position. if you consider that he can't see front wing from his position as a driver , and car responded well on a wet track , risk was right decision.
if you look what Kimi did: start from 10th, end up 12th after 1st corner, after Alonsos DNF ended 11th after lap 2, and fought all race to end 7th. where do you think Alonso would end up after two pit stops during first 5 laps?
