- not only 4 time WC but 5 seasons in the same team with preferential treatment, they must know every detail of his driving and preferences,
- Ricciardo is new to the team and at this level of competition which shows at the starts and in other areas, it's easy to assume in terms of set up, comfortability he's not extracting 100% everywhere
- they had bad winter and you can't recover that, it must have affected new guy much more. What will happen in the future and what is his as they say in the NBA "ceiling" is anyone's guess. No excuses for Vettel in 2014.

Did Newey retire already? RB were supposed to have superior aero minus straight line speed. It makes you wonder if engine problems affected development in other areas, in terms of delays but also understanding of a car. 30 minutes of FP2 lost = tragedy for Hamilton? No, it's silly, if they can put the car together he won't lose a lot if anything.

That would be just his luck. Speed to win the races he is good at but mechanical failures stopping him from doing so.

Really excited to see Alonso putting in some good long runs, I love watching the guy at the start of the race.
Wasn't able to watch the session but would be really interested to know more about long run pace if you have it?

Its not a race engine (so no penalty), he did a high fuel run in FP1, and hes the fastest driver of the day, its not the end of the world.

He was running a similar pace to the Red Bulls in terms of lap times, but was just a bit more consistent with his pace, although that may be down to traffic, we didn't get to see much of him really.

Lots of baseless assumptions, probably has to do with not liking a certain driver.

Self-irony is strong here since you wrote big, fat, nothing ;-). Assumptions are more than assumptions and are based on facts: starting with 5 years in one team/Red Bull against Ricciardo's - 0 years.

Re: Hamilton is doomed:
"...both drivers completed longer runs than normal on high fuel owing to the threat of rain later in the day. In second practice, we managed to do competitive runs on both the prime and option tyres with Lewis and Nico. Lewis then had an engine stoppage as he was beginning his long run on the option tyre"

Hello guys. I bought the official F1 app for android. I can see the tyres used for the drivers, but how can I see their laptimes (like stint) for the same tyres?

Is there a guide on how to use this app?

This years car is a completely new car with different power units, handling and performance. So both drivers are new to the car, and previous experience with the team is irrelevant.

Any news on Rosberg/Ricciardo being investigated about overtaking under red flags?

Last time that happened it was Button, and he got a 3 place grid penalty because the stewards deem red flag situations to be very serious.

Watching the overtake, it wasn't dangerous and Nico was almost caught off guard.

I think its a pretty fair that he didnt get a penalty but I would have understood if they had given him one.

But it wasn´t midway, it was right from the start.

It´s a completely new car with basically no rear end relatively speaking.
Some drivers take more time then others to adapt and overcome.
If he´s still struggling towards the very end of the season then you have a point.

I think both he and Kimi will get on top of stuff soon and will start changing the balance in the teams a bit.

I didn't claim otherwise though.

Brand new car and brand new technology = No advantage for any of them.
