Rosberg on the Medium tyre:

1:29.000
1:28.339
1:28.678
1:29.098
1:37.248
1:29.062
1:28.899
1:51.738
1:29.273

Last year FP1:

1:31.062
1:31.254
1:38.519
1:30.875
1:30.826
1:30.829
1:31.341

The pace is hotter than I expected! Looking forward to FP2 when Ferrari will do low 28s on the Softs...hopefully. [-o<

Would be interesting to hear Verstappen and Kvyat's opinion regarding their new machinery and how it compares to their previous cars.

Edit: Thanks Bomber_pilot! Seems like Red Bull wanted to get rid of some hard tyres, while Ferrari is optimizing their soft tyre performance.
I remember that Fisichella was doing OK on FI back in 09 and looked amateurish once he went to Ferrari.
0,200 slower(more or less) than Ricciardo is not to look amateurish. Good job so far.

Now I want to see Ferrari´s long run pace bcause I know that Mercedes is not using its magic key for the qualis.

Winter testing times...http://www.enterf1.com/f1-tickets/f1-te ... 016#250216

Mclaren is now as fast on Medium as they were on soft in the winter.

Last year FP1 was Hards only.

No doubt, that's very decent for a first outing, Kvyat... let's give him time.
Has Verstappen ever driven last years Red Bull? Or is it just simulator(plus 1 year running Renault)?

I'm surprised teams haven't chosen and/or saved more sets of Mediums for the remaining sessions. It will probably be the best race tyre, and they'll need 2 new sets. Also they'll want to use at least 1 set in FP2 and FP3 each, for every driver. Makes more sense to use softs and hards in FP1, but oh well :)

Tyres remaining after FP1: (I think this is correct now)

The main ones I am unsure of are Grosjean and Gutierrez, they both only lightly scrubbed one of their sets of mediums so may have given back an unused set of another compound instead.

Oh, that makes sense given the delta between Medium and Hards.

Coloured circles are new sets, black circles are used sets.

The full symbol means new tires, the "empty" symbols are used tires.
