...It's an audio track that belongs in a movie, not a sporting event.
It belonged in nothing in 2018, and in 2019 it will belong on the cutting room floor; along with the rest of the half-assed garbage they have presented for 'our enjoyment'

Now that I have heard it for a whole season, I have to admit I find it pretty annoying. It's got this fake epic sound to it which is so cheesy ](*,) I hate it every time I hear that goddman piece of music
Same. It has this weird 'get ready for excitement, dudes!' to this, even though there is like 5-10 minutes in between the intro and the actual start of the race. What makes it weirder is that they use this same audio track at the end of the race, which makes no sense at all. It's an audio track that belongs in a movie, not a sporting event.
Its also the same piece they use for the F2 (not sure about the GP3) so its not even unique to F1.

Most of my friends are football (real football) fans and they watch a little F1 now and then, and I get embarrassed when they joke and laugh about things like the music, the ten past the hour start time ect. I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years the sport has gone to --- just to gain American viewer #-o

I just wonder, Do American viewers like it, or just get if foisted on them?
If you are told often enough and loud enough that you WILL like somethin, you just may

I presume by football you mean soccer. I wouldn't say its much different to football to be honest, especially sky sports and bt coverage (in the UK). There both pretty Americanised in there style, especially MNF (monday night football). I watch both and I haven't ever considered the intro a stand out, it can't be any worse than Martin Tyler shouting down the mic its live before the match starts. And the times of football don't make much logic sometimes either.

I quiet like the music, it makes me turn the volume up a notch or two and gets me ready for the race. But then comes the problem. The track side sounds are still as dull as dish water.
