Yup, still looks like the Merc is waaaay to draggy in general. As long as they're not able fix their aero efficiency, they won't catch the RB...
And how do you know how much fuel was in everyone's car?search wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 21:01I "erase" the fuel effect, to be able to compare different runs. That's why the times are a bit differenttomazy wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 20:54I wouldnt trust this chart, I don't know for others, but I realy don't know where Albons time of 1:26.053 (3 laps) comes from. Acording to the FIA timings he did the folowing laps in FP2 (including red flag)
13 1:25.717
14 7:25.963
15 1:25.730
16 1:25.965
That would give him a 3 lap average of 1:25,804
I was not talking about fuel load there, but about the fuel effect, which is more or less known, and the same for everybody. So if a car gains 0.1s per lap due to weight loss, for example, I add those back to the lap time.marcel171281 wrote: ↑02 Sep 2023, 09:16And how do you know how much fuel was in everyone's car?search wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 21:01I "erase" the fuel effect, to be able to compare different runs. It really is a battle of the draggy cars behind Red Bull and Ferrari.Sieper wrote: ↑02 Sep 2023, 13:40As I expected, Ferrari is very fast on the straights and I expect Charles to put it on pole. In race Max should have better tire life. Mercedes “we won’t even make q3” are the next best team, allthough Albon is very fast as well. Mclaren and Alonso are bit of a dark horse.
Yes I feel it'll be an interesting race. Ferrari definitely on pole.
Mercedes is a lot more competitive on the straights today, matching RB.
