So, in light of of my post almost a year ago here is what I ended up with...
9,000rpm, Lift-off Oversteering heaven

Anyway, I drive a blue 2000 Volvo v70 AWD. I know it's not fun to drive around town, but it works great when I load my two bicycles (Mountain and Road) and my canoe, or skis on top of it and go up to the Adirondack mountains to enjoy the weekends with friends or family; this happens every other week.
For going around town or to work, I have a 50cc Vespa (soon will be installing the Malossi 70cc kit for a little more help when I have a passenger on. Just have not gotten delivery of it yet, aghrrr.)
I also got a 1999 Mazda Miata which I bought for 100 dollars just two weeks ago. Now it's sitting in the garage, until January, when I'm gonna replace pretty much everything. That's gonna be next year's project. I wanna make it a decent yet cheap car to drive around the track in New Jersey. The chassis and body panels are decent, but the old owner has brutalized the engine, suspension, brakes, transmission...where do I stop? There's a few things wrong with it, no question, but it's gonna be fun working on it just as much as racing it afterwards.
Dude, you should've covered the plates, or blurred them. We won't do anything here, but there's bastards out there that search the web for these things and do illegal stuff with them.Scotracer wrote:So, in light of of my post almost a year ago here is what I ended up with...

About 350hp to the wheels on a very conservative engine tune, excellent power(revs to 10K) and handling... need to upgrade the brakes.
Great fun out on the autoX track but I want to start letting it stretch its legs on bigger tracks.
Nice ride. Those always looked like fun cars.Scotracer wrote:So, in light of of my post almost a year ago here is what I ended up with...

I may. I mean, it is publicly displayed information anyway. Thanks for the concernjddh1 wrote:Dude, you should've covered the plates, or blurred them. So, I'd say edit your post.

Something to add to ISLAMATRON's advice... Drop in a 350 hp turbocharged 13b and hold on for dear life. Yikes!ISLAMATRON wrote:jddh1 wrote:Wow, MrT, that's a lot of fun race cars you got there.

Drop a turbo rotary in it... 350hp easy, and lighter than miata 4 banger or even a V8 with comparable power.
RX-7 are RWD(and with the 13b being as small as it is, it can be considered mid engined), I'm not sure what you mean, but yes 350 in a FWD is absurd, why anyone would think any FWD car could be a sportscar escapes me.Giblet wrote:ISLAMATRON wrote:Well my fun car is a 89 Mazda RX-7 with a big Turbo (T04) thrown on it, standalone fuel management, coil over suspension, stripped down to less than 2100 lbs with driver, no A/C, no Power steering, no luxury at all... cept for the cupholder.

And louder than a Formula 1 car
Just frackin with ya.
350 HP in a FWD drive car, especially Integra's, torque steer will be a nightmare. A drag car sure... but the Honda engines are their own bag of fun.
