Just an idea, but could it be a cooling vent for the planned future KERS installation, and the clear pipe is a pitot tube to measure the airspeed inside the vent? I know that most other KERS installations have been placed further forward, but with the standard weight distribution, perhaps they have needed to move things around?

Yeah, ESP is right the title should read Team Lotus.... but I would delete the Renault. I was highly confused when reading the new thread title. I think we shouldnt call the RB 7 thread RB 7 Renault either. Ok we do it everywhere, only forgot Williams...
