If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Ferrari seem to have some serious upgrades for India, that's not to say that other teams do not!

That's good as long as they are able to get it through the custom checks.

Ferrari submitted the forms well ahead of the updates being built...as well as Ferrari has a trade certificate with Indian customs due in part to the Ferrari Dealership in New Dehli (two containers/cars arrive per month this is a guess based upon supply/demand).

Now If I was Luca...I would suspended one of the crates that would be for the customers car to put inside the key/critical upgrade parts. :)

This is technically questionable as the parts for customers car will be imported permanently while parts for F1 car will be temporary imported and then re-exported after the race thus they will follow different customs route anyway.

This has nothing to do with teams having a trade certificate with the Indian govt. The govt here considers F1 as an entertainment and not as a sport. Hence they haven't yet declared the circuit as a bonded area just like other F1 circuits. Hence getting parts at the last moment would be more difficult compared to other circuits. This is just my understanding. If anyone has further information, then please share.

As I recall it was to do with planning permission and the money that could be saved by having it classed as an 'attraction'.

Nonetheless, I remember Willem Toet's interview on it and he was quite obviously less than impressed. Montezemelo was right, and I was wrong.......

What's up with Ferrari and their navy flag?
Just saw in local news that they are retaliating problems with Indian government when the Italian navy accidentally killed some local fishermen in Indian coast early this year

What has that to do with formula one and racing???
This is pathetic behavior by them
I have been a tifosi for12 years now
I have lost complete respect in them
This is just pathetic

Do you remember what happened in 2001, after the Twin Towers fell? For one race, the Scuderia deleted all sponsorship from cars' livery and ran them with black noses. Well, you should have stopped being a Tifoso since then (according to your own logic)
