#Alonso believes that #McLaren has 3rd best chassis in grid. #Honda will introduce 2 engine updates (Canada + Spa). http://ams.to/18H
FI introduced the B-spec car later in the year, however, it is still a massive improvement. Merc improvement is also impressive. Bit dissapointed with Ferrari, their gap to the Mercedes have actually increased.Mekki wrote:Average Improvement (both drivers, average improvement over Q1 - Q3:Mekki wrote:I've compared the qualy times from 2015 and 2016.

The engine issues amplify the chassis shortcomings, I think and the other way around.alonsofan wrote:all the talk about the chassis being good and the engine being crap goes down the --- hole![]()

It's interesting to see that McLaren isn't the one that most improved. So basically all the improvement on their results comes from reliability rather than pace. I know that if Jenson had been closer to Fernando in qualy the difference from last year would increase, but even so we could still reach the same conclusion.Mekki wrote:Average Improvement (both drivers, average improvement over Q1 - Q3:Mekki wrote:I've compared the qualy times from 2015 and 2016.

The most comic bit is Toto constantly trying to convince everyone that "Ferrari is very close" when in fact the gap is increasing over last year. Just shows how they'll say and do anything to keep the rule makers from trying to give the other teams some mean of closing the gap.Stalker1 wrote:FI introduced the B-spec car later in the year, however, it is still a massive improvement. Why exactly? Barcelona, while not quite as power sensitive as some tracks, is still not just a "chassis" track like Hungary or Singapore.alonsofan wrote:all the talk about the chassis being good and the engine being crap goes down the --- hole![]()
