Mclaren seems to have another opportunity here for a pole and a possibility for a victory as long as we have someone as a shield against Verstappen.

It’ll be very interesting and extremely close. With AT possibly also vying for top10, there are going to be high profile casualties in Q2. Clean fast laps from the get go are required. Can’t afford scrappiness

Both Norris and Piastri have to do a faultless Q3 lap for once as they still need to work on that domain though that might also be due to the car being hard to drive.

Let's get them. I have a good feeling this last race will be ours for the taking and finish a good year with a win.

I think the TOW he got at that large straight gave him a lot of time to Max.

I was think similar, but I wasn't ready to.predict as it looks tight. We look like we may be ahead of Merc, but I'm not sure what RB have in the locker still.

All the fastest laps had some time loss.

Max seems to have plenty of pace but hopefully we can get P2 and P3.

I'd love a pole but max Q1 looked strong. He saved a complete set of softs. Norris left on new softs but didn't do a push lap on them.

If this track suits our car, it will suit the RB, and as they are faster, we are again playing for a mess up by them, or basically 2nd and ahead of Perez.

Max had a super tow in Q1 which allowed him not to run again

Lando Norris just did under 2 tenths with used tyres. Are they used or kind of new?

According to McLaren both on used soft. Not bad!

I would say very good lap on used tyres vs the new softs of Max considering the difference can be 5 tenths.

Do you think the team should go immediately for a quick new softs first lap in Q3 to be safe or go with used softs again for the first lap and then do one more with new softs with a risk of course?

That is his soft he did an outlap/inlap without a hotlap. Relatively new.

If I got what Lando was saying on the radio he didn't want to go out second time and ended up scrubbing his new tire both time. I guess team is very co nservative after Q1 failure in Las Vegas.

Landos old softs, hadn't done a proper run. So will have those again.
