Thank you, Chris, for the images. Awesome to see that kind of comparison!
A few comments on them...
CAEdevice -- Highly developed car. It has got the best rear end -in terms of downforce- and there is room for further improvements; for example, it looks like more airflow could reach the top side of the diffuser, increasing its pressure. A more aggressive front end could lead Matteo to victory.
CompetitionCarEngineering / 's Shiny Melon -- It looks like Machin and his alter ego are playing safe: small and gradual improvements over the entire bodykit. However, they may need to risk more to stay near the top, as others are solving their cooling issues.
HP-Racing -- Quite big changes on their car. From the pressure distribution over the top, it looks like it is working pretty well and elegantly. I hope you guys have solved the cooling problems.
JJR -- I can't spot any difference in comparison with the test race car. Not necessarily a good thing for me, as it was a very competitive car already, and playing safe means no performance drop (as it may have happened to me
)
Kineuton -- This is going to be very close to the top. I like the new winglets: I may reintroduce them in Monaco, where efficiency is less important; however, could they be the cause of the very low pressure on top of your bodywork?
Mantium Ray -- Nice development. It also looks better. With no cooling issues, that car is the most probable candidate for victory.
Mercury -- A whole new car from the last time. Hope you can improve the cooling...having bigger exhausts and more linear shapes -as others suggested- may help. Once that's done, you can focus on downforce: the funny part.
Pure Power Racing: Huge improvements on your car! It was already producing a good amount of downforce during the test race, so now it must be very competitive!
RicME -- A working front end was all you needed to beat Machin, your direct opponent, and it seems like it is working pretty well, with lots of high pressure on top of the front wings. I hope the radiators are being fed more generously too!
Talno -- As I previously said, the car looks good and elegant. You needed a more aggressive front wing, and you put it on. The only actual problem I can spot is the low pressure on top of the rear deck, the top side of the diffuser.
TF -- Very different car from the last time. It does look like an improvement. With the more aggressive front end, that car should be very competitive. Anyway, I wuldn't have used the NACA intake...doen't it decrease the pressure of the airflow?
As for me, the car is pretty much identical to the last time. I focused the updates mainly on cooling improvement, and I have solved cooling issues completely. The downside is that I have lost some downforce (actually, I don't know why I've lost so much, as the car is almost identical to the old one!). I'm not going to reveal the exact numbers...let's buid up the suspense...
Anyway, I think there is enough room to break the 10000N wall quite easily.
