Mclaren MP4-29 Pre-launch Speculation

With reference to the omnicorse "shutter" article: the rule for the wheel hub lend itself to being exploited, at least for this year. The interesting thing is that without beam wing something different can be tried, compared to teh usual winglets.

We have already seen last year teams experimenting with guided vane also for the air exiting the wheel drums; one possibility (that I would like to see) is that mclaren have chosen to attach the pull rod on the inside of the wheel drum endplate, in order to have cleaner flow in the zone that up to 2013 was used by rbd winglets.
With the ban for the beam wing, the flow in the channel between rwep and rbd would be different and I hope to see something new there

What about Mp4-29 crash test? Can we believe that the car has passed the crash test given the fact that they announced 24 January, as the launch day? I can't see them announcing the day for the launch, without passing the crash-test.
As a professional organisation Mclaren couldn't announce to the media their exact launch day without having the crash-test. It's always the risk to faill the test, and even if it's small in F1's modern times, you could see from other years, in which the media found when a team passed the crash-test, only after that (usually a few days) we can officialy hear from the team when will it be the day launch of the car.

McLaren in black would be a good shake off of the whole Mercedes years and go well with just about any sponsors on a black car you can place practically any sponsors logos and they will look good I'm still going to wait and see but if they go black it's not going to look bad at all.

From Orange to White and red to Silver then Black Sauber changed its colors to not get Mixed up on track (on television) with McLaren. This will annoy them a bit..
