I'm going to take Hamilton's overtake of Alonso round the outside of turn 2 as an indication of their race craft. Alonso certainly doesn't have Hamilton beaten in that department.

how poor a driver Nico rosberg is , since radio communications were banned in 2014 he has been no where , he has never beaten hamilton in race , by overtaking or using a superior strategy since 2014. hamilton gonna run over him. i bet he is the worst driver to be in this dominant car. Alonso is right when he says he left because he does not want to finish second and i also think ferrari's win was blown out of proportion, mercedes PR did amazing job to took attention away from engine talks. gonna be super easy championship for hamilton.

Ferrari PU has got some power on the loud pedal. Impressive speeds. V10s were doing ~320-330 If I remember correctly.

Maybe its true then that they are possibly ahead of Mercedes now in terms of raw power.
Btw what speeds were Renault doing? 310+??

So who exactly is being targetted with this new fuel measurement directive? Seems like no one lost any speed looking at the top speeds.

I hope its not Renault :)

Let's hope for a close match this weekend! I'm not going to stop the DVR recording yet, but I will be at the motogp race all weekend first because its near by. Let's hope HAM or Britney don't run away with it.

dont forget that what level of downforce you're running has a major effect on top speed...ferrari may just be running less downforce

Well, that should show in twisty sections if the mercs are carrying more cornerspeed; in theory at least.

The speeds quoted next to the times, are they the average for that sector? If so it is puzzling how Vettel is faster in every sector (equal in S1) but the time seems slow compared to Rosberg.

They're highest speeds attained trough the sector speed traps. Not average over the entire sector. Ferrari is the fastest car pretty much everywhere, so it can't all be down to downforce setup.

No data for renaults...

Just went and check. Fastest speed trap from 2004 in qualifying was felipe massa at 330 kmh. Montoya did 328 kmh.

Aren't they the speed at the end Of the sector? On the "sector line" where time is taken?

Toto describing Merc's long run as okay... Ferrari's as impressive. Anyone have long run data?
