If anyone , that would be Alpine. They said they wanted to have performance over reliability for start.
I believe that there was only ever going to be 1 pre season test for 2022. Bahrain put their hand up, said they'd host it and here's some money.nzjrs wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022, 11:02Right. I see the game you are playing. Have fun with it. Ignored.JordanMugen wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022, 02:02Bahrain is the official test, they paid for that, that's a public test. FOM are more than welcome to hold an additional private test at Barcelona. Bahrain obviously would prefer that spectators from abroad would get on a plane and visit the test and Grand Prix in Bahrain.
Edit -- Obviously the Bahrain deal was signed first, and it would be improper for Formula One Management to renege on Bahrain's status as holder of the official open-to-the-public F1 pre-season test.

Tbh, this sort of commentary just sounds like you are making excuses for FOM.KeiKo403 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2022, 10:43I believe that there was only ever going to be 1 pre season test for 2022. The teams then requested additional pre season testing be permitted, which it was. FOM & Bahrain already had a contract though to host the only testing for 2022 and this would mean all eyes on Bahrain when peoples eyes were on F1 2022 cars.
JordanMugen is only stating the facts in that response. If you wish to ignore facts then that's ok but he's certainly not playing a game.
I don't think anyone likes the closed off feel considering what we've become accustomed to over the past few seasons.
I doubt that even FOM are playing a game here, if they've signed exclusivity rights for Bahrain then that isn't something Jordan can be blamed for.
But all I've done is present what I believe to be the facts in chronological order. Please don't take that to think I actually like the situation. I (think) understand what has happened, that's all.djos wrote: ↑23 Feb 2022, 10:50Tbh, this sort of commentary just sounds like you are making excuses for FOM.KeiKo403 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2022, 10:43I believe that there was only ever going to be 1 pre season test for 2022. I'm out at the final chicane where the cars are visibly slower than even the slowest ones used to be. They are slower through the preceding turn too, understeering out of there, even the Red Bull, then slow and awkward into the left of the chicane from turn-in all the way to the apex.
I'm going to have a look at some faster parts of the track now.
