A pitty that this thing has gone under. So I will revive it with a question.

How many Formula1 champions died in F1 cars? You better provide the names for verification.

You are right. Ascari died in a sports car.

Well, Niki Lauda and Denny Hulme have won WDC without polepositions in 1967 and 1984 respectively

How many times has a car been entered as an F1 car that was originally not an F1 car?

Both finished their first race on the podium. I believe that was quite unique for rookies. Obviously I can't check for older drivers. But the more statistically adept will know if it is true.

And another one:

Both made WDC with just one race win

I was looking for the 2 WDC that only won 1 race in their WDC winning seasons....
