AT this point in qualifying:

Why Button so slow? How long before we hear "favoritism"?

Sure would be nice if Newey would let some of the other teams play, too.

Ferrari seems to have regained "best of the rest."

Vettel on pole at Silverstone with 1m29.615s with Webber second and Alonso third!

Yet another front row lockout by RBs!!

Another RBR lockout of the front row!

VERY disappointing performances by Massa and Schu. Making Massa's re-signing look worse and worse. And Rosberg reaffirms his superiority. Schu should step aside.

And WHAT happened to Button?

Hamilton and Alonso side-by-side in to turn 1 tomorrow. That's going to be interesting...

Where did Hamilton find that lap time from? Cracking lap but still 9/10ths slower than the pole time. The McLaren definitely doesn't like the second sector - Hamilton's sector 1 time was the same as the RBs' S1 time. The RBs are so quick in S2 and S3.

Watching Vettel's on board video it's amazing how much the f-duct was being used and how early they activate it in a fast corner. He was driving most of the lap with only his right hand on the wheel.

You have to feel sorry for Webber  Seb breaks his new front wing and RB then take his faster front wing and straps it to Sebs car, leaving Webber with the older slower version for the weekend.

But obviously there is no favouritism in the team - honestly.

Horner was quite defensive when questioned about it on the BBC by Eddie Jordan. Kept saying 'I have to make difficult decisions' but I got the impression that it wasn't his decision to make (or he didn't really make it anyway)...

I'm hoping for a Webber win tomorrow following a Vettel front wing failure. I don't dislike Vettel by any means, i just think this is a step too far.

If there were only 2-3 races left and Webber was 30+ points behind Seb then it would make strategic sense. However, at this still early stage in the season, and how close the title race is between the top 5, then it does look like Seb is the 'Golden Child' of the team.

If Vettel really is that much better than Webber then he should be tenths ahead. The fact is that Vettel has struggled all weekend to match Mark's times.

Vettel deserves the wing if we look at it from a team stand point.
Webber broke his front wing in valnecia, got a new one this week. Vettel broke his, so he get's a new one.
That sounds fair from a team point of view. Also Vettel is less likely to break new parts than Webber.

On speedTV they said webber should have done 1 more lap becuase Vettel did 2. The team mistimed Webber's outlap and prevented him from doing a second pole run.
The softs work best on the second lap, so basically webber would have been on pole had he went around again.
Becuase of this, i think webber will be faster than vettel in the race, and another turkey coming together will happen if webber doesn't pass vettel in the pits.
For Sure!!

True, good point. I'm afraid Mark has made a rod for his own back there, and his accident at Valencia was certainly his fault.

gahh once again Redbull management and their justifications stink of s**t, i really hope they win neither championship this year...hell they wont let Webber any where near it. I just want a straight fight, a fair chance...real competition...whether these actions are favoritism or not it looks bad and frustrates me.

end rant!

Don't worry webber's getting a piece of Vettel on sunday. He was faster on average as we have seen this weekend. He was quick where as Vettel only had 1 good lap for the weekend.
Webber was robbed another lap out of his option tyre, so we will see how things play out, if webber goes back to being 2-3 tenths quicker.
For Sure!!

Not that I could hear.
