Sebastian Vettel has done what he needed to. He stuck his head down, gave it all and won the race. Ferrari's terrible strategy and McLaren's good form here have given him the world championship, well deserved. Lewis Hamilton is second, Jenson Button third.
I can actually see Vettel (reluctantly) moving over for Webber, but then pressing Mark with supreme pressure and staying 0.2-0.3 of Mark, hoping Mark bins it in the heat. He was immensely quick around Abu Dhabi last year and Webber was left trailing, it's not an improbable scenario.
ahh you find my e mail semi-incoherent
I find really incoherent speculations like "3 engine will blow at the same time" and many others like "Vettel will let Webber pass"
I believe some of those posting are only just motivated by to much TV, and low business experience

Do you know what would be funny? It would be funny if the order with 15 laps to go is RBR, RBR, Alonso... and then Alonso drops back to 4th on purpose. That way, the RBR driver that finishes in front would be WDC. After Turkey, I wouldn't be suprised so see them collide.
I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.

Hamilton was in the lead when he pitted....
As I recall Vettel passed Hamilton in the first round of stops after pitting later. I don't recall what happened to Webber but the net effect was that the Red Bulls finished 1-2. Hamilton was never going to win that race, but that isn't the point here. You're arguing something that not only isn't true but is immaterial.
The Red Bull car as it has evolved has form at that circuit, as it did at Brazil.
dont talk nonsense. hamilton had brake issues from very early on. he pulled a 3-4 second gap, and then it stayed at that and even got closer due to his problems. "never going to win" lol..he was on pole by 7 tenths ...

Reason:please don't insult others to make a point.
It's because we have people in here who have decided it's OK to call others tools and disrespect other forum users.
Respect breeds useful and happy discussion.
I hope users like ell66 and Vall decide to continue their useless and detrimental diatribe in private messages, because they seem to care _far_ more than others about such mundane matters. Shush your noise, tools. Feels good huh? It's attitudes like yours that have been pulling this site down for a while now. Please wind your necks in, and try to behave. I'm just a moderately long standing user, but if this crap is bothering me so much, what about Tomba and the mods? If you have no respect for the users of the forum, please, for the sake of Pete, have it for them and the site.
If you disagree with me, please feel free to NOT air it here, and PM me.
There is an exclamation point in the top corner of each post for easy reporting to the mods. I try to refrain from using it as it makes the mods jobs busier, but I want to hit it on almost every post in the last two pages.
ON THE RACE PLEASE.......

Regarding engine usage, do you guys agree or disagree with this view? It appears that engine usage may in some way favor Alonso, that is unless he actually cooked that quali engine at Bahrain.
The thread has been cleaned up going back to about halfway, and since there were so many posts and different members I was not going to PM everyone about every single post. So if your posts are missing check in the 'Fanboy Ying Yang' and 'Completely out of thread' threads in the 'off topic' section.
Please keep the fanboy rants to a minimum, along with the off topic conversations about previous races or seasons.

I'm curious about the Yas Marina circuit itself. The Ferrari, on its own, doesn't have enough "oomph" to take second from a Red Bull. It might come down to tire wear and Alonso's management skills. But what's tire wear been like on this circuit? Will either the heat or dirty/sandy surface factor in?
