I completely agree the markings were there !

They are all pushing it. McLaren certainly is pushing it with their cooling, which is quite aggressive if you compare it to Red Bull and Renault.Webber2011 wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 13:00I know it's only testing but why wouldn't a Huge Team trying like McLaren, obviously trying to attract sponsors and encourage everyone with regards to the pu change, be able to place a new cover to not show the burn marks ?
Are they that far behind on producing parts that they only have one cover for the whole testing period ?
I thought they would have at least one a spare in case of an accident.
Or could they maybe paint or sticker over that ?
It seemed to me in the Amazon video that they were behind schedule when it came to certain things as well.
Is this just a McLaren thing guys...............or is every Team so pushed to the limit as far as producing these parts ?
U sure about that? In the Last 3 years MCL create their own battery. They also supply FE, so the installation problem should be MCL problem, not renault. You get the parts from renault as per homologation rule, but it is up 2 u how to use it
It's part of the PU and by rule it's from Renault, with the same spec as renault and red bull. How to install it in the car is McLarens choice. But problems with the battery wouldn't have to mean that the battery is the cause. Might as well be a faulty connection somewhere or wrong sensor readings.

Yes, Renault changed the battery and lost 2hours with Sainz
That's what I see.RonDennis wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 13:30They are all pushing it. Don't know if that's good or bad.
