Hope tomorrow is better.
I'd rather you didn't. Regardless of the engine issues, there were constant references made by the Mclaren management how behind they were. They admitted themselves that they had never seen the place as chaotic as it was. Just rewatch it to see or continue to deny facts. Up to you.Avocado wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 17:00Fixed that for you.bonjon1979 wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 16:55I think anyone who watched the Mclaren Doc an amazon would say that the team seemed to be pretty chaotic
Battery failure because of high temperatures. I wouldn't be surprised. The first thing that I thought damn those sidepods and the airbox are very small.
If so, then the whole year is destroyed but i don't think they overlooked something so obvious and fundamental....RonDennis wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 17:18Battery failure because of high temperatures. The whole year isn't destroyed, this is what's testing for. I'm pretty sure they tested their cooling, but some situations you can't just simulate, especially if you're pushing the limits.cyclon wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 17:23If so, then the whole year is destroyed but i don't think they overlooked something so obvious and fundamental....RonDennis wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 17:18Battery failure because of high temperatures. in 2014 McLaren had the best PU and only managed a podium at one race, because, basically, everybody failed to finish.Alonso Fan wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 15:40Have to agree with this. The fact that Toro Rosso hasn't had any problems so far isn't the norm but rather surprisingGiblet wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 15:25You simply can't not laugh about it.
I can because I am not petty like some people. I don't revel in the failures of others.
That being said me thinks you are all being a little aggressive about McLaren in the preseason test.
Moving to a new PU has issues for most teams.
In 2014 Red Bull WON RACES and their test was a complete and utter shambles. They were cutting holes, drilling, didn't fit the PU to the car until the actual test, had cooling issues etc, fuel flow issues etc. and that was when they were the "de facto" works team.
