Was he on a good lap before the wishbone failed?
Quite bizarre but right up Hamilton´s alley of "weird --- happens randomly in key moments".

Oh well, two Mercs behind the bulls is fantastic news. And for Hamilton Raikkonen is at the back of the field, Alonso near the back.
A potential good haul of points there for him to close up to Alo and Rai.

Judging by their race pace from Friday, two Mercedes' behind the Red Bulls is the absolute worst thing that could happen for the prospects of any challenge for much beyond 4th behind RB & Grosjean.

He was a bit of a kid back then and I think the team had some influence.

Over the last few seasons I think he's played it pretty straight, like I said when it's a question of outright performance he always gives credit to Rosberg or Button, they did a better job than me etc.
Yeah well... It'll follow him the rest of his life.

I´m not so worried about Lotus even though they showed stronger pace, the one i´m worried about is Hulkenberg.
He´s right behind 2 Merc´s with worse traction and lower top speed.
And the hairpin is not far from the start line, everyone is bunched up and he can just line up nice and easy and possibly jump both, one in each straight.

Looking back to the last couple of races, Lewis has always lost out in the first longer straight on the first lap (Korea, India). Sometimes I feel like he's using too much KERS at the run down to T1 and is left behind as soon as they arrive to the first proper straight.

Having one of his usual starts will be enough not to win...
That said, maybe his ususal bad luck will have an off moment tomorrow.

Webber to get another piss poor start. Vettel to win.
Webber to be put on a alternate strategy. Vettel to win.

Unless theres a incident with Vettel at the first turn, Vettel will win and its gonna be another boring race.

Vettel has the moratorium on luck in F1 at present, so will win. The rest have to scrap over what other luck is out there, and Webber, Van Der Garde and until India, Di Resta had the majority of the bad luck.

Im interested in how the race of P2 in both titles plays out now.

I dont get how Raikkonen's car failed the test. I mean, didn't the same car pass similar test multiple times already.. Shame, I thought he would have a great chance from there to be on podium. Anyways, for a guy who is not pain, good effort :D

Webber was great, great pole lab, hope he wins but I dont see that happening with Vettel's speed.

India was different though.
Both Vettel and Hamilton made a mistake in the hairpin and because Hamilton made a mistake, Vettel could take off clean but Hamilton had the rest of the pack right behind him.

If they both had been in the pack Vettel too would have lost positions down the straight.
Now Vettel had a smaller mistake but it was enough to compromise his exit quite radically.

I´m inclined to believe Lotus when they said the floor was damaged, thus causing excessive flex in the floor.

@ Sector One: But didn't Hamilton get past Nico down to T1 and then repassed at the DRS straight? Was that down to that mistake only (I can't remember the first lap in detail anymore)?

Yeah, Hamilton really screwed up at T3 trying to carry much more speed than what he was supposed to.
