I'm loving zero tolerance on track limits, so you do gain going over kerb which is slower than track (that was the argument). Their consistency compass in the last couple of season is spinning randomly, how can it not when:

Did I catch the Mercedes crew working on Lewis front brake right there when everyone is out on track?

Webber didn't do it either, and he was driving the same car..

There was a radio message to Lewis saying "If you don't think you're going to improve then let Nico through". So it was Lewis's choice but he has been given a push by the team into backing out of it.

You can insult people who support Lewis all you like but he was comfortably the quicker driver up to that point of confusion.

Well well... No communication I guess... But what could you expect if you are 2 seconds down after 2 sectors and you could gain 3 seconds in the last three turns?

Not true, he was faster in the first run because Rosberg was behind him with more rain. Anyway:

- What a hell? Just too clever and got caught in wishful thinking?
- How much faster Merc is?
- It's interesting how loved rainy races are when in fact these are the two worst things: not pushing F1 car limits and random results.

They told him this on the warm up lap. He then decided on his own to abort after sector 2. Tough luck. Deal with it.

Nico could be hiding his pace until Q3, thats all part of the game to trick your teammate into complacency.

It's not so much what the team told him. But we make our own long term luck. He just has to change so many things....speed alone doesn't cut it. He just has to come up with a strategy and stick to it.
