Are Aston going to be dusting off the old flexi wing from 2023?

Not very different to current Merc and McL

I doudt it would work very well with the current sidepods and floor entry and floor gates.

It's a silly suggestion. Sounds like a troll.

In 2023 Pierre Waché called out the flexi wing of Aston and Mercedes and said it would bring no benefit. Went as far as to say that front wing has a very diminished role in the GE tunnel regulationions

Aston had a good performing car with quiet exceptional performance at low speed while still having good high speed performance.

FIA asked Aston to change the design after the Baku GP. All updates on the car could never bring the balance to the car through the varying corner speeds. TD018 was brought in a little later and officially ruled against flexi wings

In 2024 Mclaren and Mercedes continued these same flexi front wings, but this time with FOM calling for more competition FIA never investigated flexi wings

Pierre Waché now feels the flexi wing concept is allowing other cars to have a better balance and better kerb riding performance.

This was already discussed in the flexi wing thread I think. Astons wing flexed differently an d around a device that made it illegal.

The wing flexed in 2 directions heavily
