Team Lotus T128 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

To me it looks like a low angle photo of the T127 (2010 Lotus car) with the new paintjob.

Especially the enhanced image shows that the nose is not as wide as the FI's nose.

question now is, are the pylons closer together or did the nose grow less wide? Are they allowed to play with the distance between them pylons?

Or is it a composite image where the designer didn't match the pylons up to pixel level accuracy?

That is the TL11. They have nothing to loose by showing it.

Thought so too at first glance.
But i believe the angle on the picture cheats a bit. Just think it is the ordinary spiltter you can see through the pylons ....

That's what I thought at first, but it's the splitter.

Scarbs's comment about it on twitter: ....note how steeply the cockpit sides are leading upto the raised dash bulkhead

Oh, the wing button? The FIA hands them out prior to the race start, but only if you've been a good boy. If you've been very good then they may even let you press it during the race. This of course if pending an initial review of the first 15 minutes of your race by a panel in Paris based on sliding Je ne sais quoi scale, with final decrees expected to be delivered by the last 10 minutes of the race wherein the driver may then feel free to strategically use this technology and express his racing pedigree when he sees fit (in approved areas of the track) to ensure the creation of Real Racing™.

The button is not handed to the drivers, the wing is controlled by the FIA driver steward.
