Mclaren MP4-30 Honda

Interesting brakes. If I remember right Ferrari SF-15 have similar layout???
It would be interesting to compare. Any pictures of Ferrari brakes?

OK, things coming thick and fast to this car now. Very nicely integrated S-duct set up.

Anyone know if that's a different intercooler from Aus?

Am I right in thinking the other shot is a chargecooler? Would they use both?

That would be extremely optimistic. I don't believe that you can go beyond 96% with such motors.

And 4% of 120kW is almost 5kW of heat. Not trivial.
Agreed.

Not sure ... but I don't like how they weld the hot air inlet pipe to the cold air outlet pipe. I think they should separate them and even insulate the cold air outlet with aerogel wrap.

I don't think there's a blown rear axle. Every axle looks like that when it's not fully assembled.

I'm not sure what the point of a blown (blowing outward, as it seems to be inferred) rear axle would be. If anything, I've though they'd want to 'suck' the air and direct inwards/rearwards to aid the diffuser seal.

Am I right in seeing that Alonso is still on his first PU elements? But I thought a driver shared his engines with his stand in? How can he not need anything new after Magnussen's failure last race?

He hasn't used a 2nd 1 yet. He'll have to if he wants the car to move.

can't they re-use and old engine which has been 'revised' ?

and what exactly happened to the enginge? if it was 'simply' a valve spring popping or something, then you could re-use this engine 'simply' by replacing the valves [just an example?]
