What are the 3 "dots" just right of the wheel?
Do you mean the red dots to the left of the wheel in the picture? Looks like gravel. Or do you mean the strakes / mini fences?
The very tiny strakes.

Good pickup! They must be going for the nth degree of buckling stiffness to do that. But note that the outer portion still has a woven outer ply, so the part end trimming is still happening in woven instead of in the more easily frayed uni. I suspect that the inboard end has a similar patch of woven.

To me the outer portion looks to be a carbon/Kevlar blend. It has the yellow/gold color normally associated with a blend.

they both look good in the videos. Lewis has a little more top speed, and a little understeer. hes taking long to pick up the throttle

Doesn't look like Kevlar hybrid to me. The Kevlar would be much yellower. Looks like one part of the weave is just reflecting at a stronger angle.
Upper wishbone spars look like they're molded separately from the inner and outer ends. Weave at the join near the body, then back to uni. Easier to control wall thickness inside, despite extra weight at overlap. Weave on outside, easier to drape on complex surfaces, multiple directions of load, probably some metallic hard points molded in or installed after.

What do you know about Rosberg's gearbox?
Yesterday thay said that it was ok, but it's very risky with the gearbox.
When such a problems appears, you may have to change it even if it runs normally, because during a race you never know.
I'm afraid that this gearbox will not resist for 4 races, and they will have to change it in Malaysia or China (if it not collapses untile than).
But if they change it than he will get a grid penalty.
What do you think?

I have seen a replay and the car barely touches the wall. If that would damage the gearbox, they need a new supplier.

What about Rosberg's gearbox? The car stopped on the track with a gearbox problem.
They might be forced to change the gearbox for safety, do they? Or they will risk with that gearbox for 4 races?

Rosberg said yesterday that it won't be a problem (for today), so the problems seems to be minor, and was fixed before the qualy :D
